The Faculty of Law

Dean's Message

Law, one of the oldest branches of science in the world, is indispensable for modern democratic societies. One of the fundamental characteristics of the Republic of Turkey is the rule of law. The rule of law is a state that adheres to the universal principles of law and the rules of law, is open to the control of independent and impartial judiciary in all its transactions and actions, especially the public power, and is committed to human rights, providing minimum legal security for individuals living in the country. In this context, the aim of our Faculty is to train well-equipped, inquisitive and courageous lawyers who are committed to universal law.

In addition to the compulsory basic courses that must be included in the programs of law faculties in order for our students to be trained as qualified lawyers and to be successful in their professional lives, our education program also includes applied law courses in our hypothetical courtroom. With our Practices of the Legal Profession course, law education encourages our students to comprehend the logic of law and to increase their critical thinking skills beyond the transfer of knowledge of legislation at a certain time.

Founded in 2008, Istanbul Beykent University Faculty of Law, leaving its 15th year behind with its interdisciplinary programs and educational approach, continues to educate lawyers who have internalized universal legal principles, teaching international law as well as our national legal system within the framework of Atatürk's Principles and Reforms. Our graduates who successfully complete their undergraduate education will have the opportunity to work in the private sector, ministries, banks, national or international organizations, as well as professions such as attorneyship, judgeship, prosecution, mediation, notary public, which can only be performed by people who have the identity of a lawyer.

Our Faculty of Law contributes to academic studies in the field of law with the Private Law Master's program and the Public Law Master's program carried out within the Graduate Education Institute of Istanbul Beykent University.
