PUBLİCATİON POLİCY AND ETHICAL PRINCIPLES During the publication of scientific studies, Istanbul Beykent University Faculty of Law Journal (BUFLJ) takes into account the international standards [1], which are internationally recognised, open access and determined by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). Within this framework, an independent and impartial publication policy is followed to ensure the development of scientific studies in the field of public law and private law.BUFLJ is prepared within the framework of Istanbul Beykent University Directive on Scientific Journals, which entered into effect with the Senate Decision No. 2021/14 of 10.06.2021.Responsibilities of the Editor and Editorial BoardEditorial Board and Editor:-are required to adhere to the principles of independence, impartiality, punctuality, conflict of interest, double-blind peer review, and confidentiality.-are responsible for the entire process, from the arrival of the article at the journal to its rejection or publication.-determine whether the articles requested to be published in BUFLJ comply with the Editorial Principles.-submit articles that comply with the Editorial Principles to expert reviewers for evaluation through a double-blind peer-review system. The publication of articles in BUFLJ depends on the reviewers deeming them suitable for publication.-observe conflicts of interest between authors and reviewers.-maintain the confidentiality of information between authors and reviewers.-do not accept disrespectful or unscientific peer reviews.-ensure academic integrity and promote freedom of thought at BUFLJ Responsibilities of ReviewersReviewers:-act in accordance with the principles of the right to refuse, conflict of interest, impartiality, punctuality, double-blind peer review, and confidentiality.-make unbiased reviews by taking into account the academic competence of the article.-destroy the work after reviewing it, in line with the principle of confidentiality.-do not accept to review articles that relate to personal or institutional interests.-complete the article review within a reasonable time frame and submit it to the editor. Authors’ ResponsibilitiesAuthors:-act in accordance with the principles of conflict of interest, originality, accuracy, intellectual property law, and double-blind peer review.-must avoid behaviour that could be considered plagiarism. Publications found to contain plagiarism will not be accepted for publication in BUFLJ.-must not use discriminatory language based on characteristics such as gender, sexual orientation, race, or belief.-confirm that they have directly accessed the sources they use and that they have used them accordingly.-express their own opinions in the articles.-must notify the journal’s editorial board immediately upon discovering any significant error or inaccuracy in a published article.-confirm that their article has not been published elsewhere nor submitted for publication.
